Kranti is not any exceptional movie.It has the same story that has been told numerous times by numerous directors.The story started with the old gold “no-job” situation for numerous jute mill workers.The owners living great and drinking wine while the old workers have to satisfy hunger with “muri and jol”.Bodhiswatwa Majumdar went to one of the owner and requested him to fulfill the demands by the works.The owner denied.Then we see a little boy in the movie.The boy was traveling with his dad Bodhiswatwa and was seriously injured in a road accident.
Troyee is a 1982 Bengali film directed by Gautam Mukherjee and produced by Shipra Chakravarty, Gautam Mukherjee & Madhumala Das.Synopsis: Avik, Ranjan and Seema are good friends.Avik’s mother loves all of them a lot.Ranjan does not stay with his family because of his step-mother.Avik falls in love with Seema.On the other hand, Ranjan also falls in love with Seema but Seema likes Avik.Both Avik and Ranjan go to Seema’s birthday with their parents.
Asukh or Asookh (1999) is an award-winning Indian Bengali feature film directed by Rituparno Ghosh.Produced by Dr. G. Ramanaidu the movie casts Soumitra Chatterjee, Debashree Roy and Shilajit Majumdar in the lead roles.Drama centred around a young woman whose world falls apart and slowly finds herself descending into a dark abyss of loneliness and mistrust, as she loses her fiancee and has to cope with her mother’s illness and the difficult relationship she has with her father.
Directed by Rabi Kinagi this 2007 Bangla movie is full of family melodrama, tending to revolve around enemity, conflicts in love and careers, and loss of life…Prasenjeet, Razzak, Anuradha Roy and Arun Banerjee are the lead casts of this movie.Beside it’s melodrama, music scored by Babul Bose with the playback Singers like Udit Narayan, Babul Supriya, Shreya Ghoshal, Sadhana Sargam etc. are the plus point of this movie.
Hospital is a bengali movie, story of a single mother. Suchitra Sen got pregnant before her marriage. Ashoke Kumar refused to marry her. Suchitra, without havin an abortion, raised his child. Single mom. A great bengali drama to watch.
Anuranan (meaning “resonance” in Bengali) explores the relationships of two married couples. The story explores the impacts and consequences of their relationships. In addition to showing how distinctly different two marriages can be, the title of the movie and subsequently the story convey the fact that people can form relationships that extend beyond just them being acquaintances, and yet remain purely platonic.
