Juddho (2003)
This movie is really got some “smartness” in it. Mithun still makes a bengali movie watchable and Jeet is probably far better than “recent” Prasenjeet.Jeet with Koyel (daughter of Ranjeet Mullick) made multiple good and successful movies together. The story of the film is not great but presentation of the film is very good. With crystal chear quality and superb fight scenes you will love the movie. Also, the songs are pretty good and you may like Babul Supriyo, Sonu Nigam or Shreya Ghosal in some songs.A Must Watch movie for all Mithun Lovers.Last but not the least, Deboshree Roy did a great job as Mithun’s wife! Mithun was an honest police officer….and you know what will happen now!
Khela (2008)
This movie springs a real surprise in many ways, the film is a departure from director Rituparno Ghosh’s pet subjects which generally revolves around a lead female protagonist with intense, passionate drama unfolding but here its a film on a male protagonist, an idealist filmmaker Raja(Prasenjit Chatterjee) and his quest to cast and than to make a film with a boy whom he thinks is perfect for the role and the subject is dealt in a lighthearted way bordering on humour.Abirup the boy(Akashneel Dutt) and Raja the director develop a heart warming bond from the time they first meet through the making of the film.
